There are 2 types of partially removable prostheses:
Plastic partial removable dentures
Arch type removable dentures (simple and complex)
Partially removable dentures are used in case of partial adentia when a non-removable bridge construction cannot be used. Removable dentures are fixed to the abutment teeth with fixing means (clamps, telescopic crowns, attachments or locking systems). Partial removable dentures restore chewing function by about 50%. Completely removable dentures are used in case of complete loss of teeth.
